1 Diagonalisation et puissances / 4 pts

a) Trace \(3\), déterminant \(2\) : \(\chi_K = X^2 - 3X + 2 = (X-1)(X-2)\) (1 pt). Deux valeurs propres distinctes : \(K\) est diagonalisable (0,5 pt).

b) \(K - I = \begin{pmatrix}-1&2\\-1&2\end{pmatrix}\) : vecteur \((2,1)\). \(K - 2I = \begin{pmatrix}-2&2\\-1&1\end{pmatrix}\) : vecteur \((1,1)\) (1 pt). Avec \(P = \begin{pmatrix}2&1\\1&1\end{pmatrix}\), \(P^{-1} = \begin{pmatrix}1&-1\\-1&2\end{pmatrix}\) et \(P^{-1}KP = \mathrm{diag}(1,2)\) (0,5 pt).

c) \(K^n = P\,\mathrm{diag}(1,2^n)\,P^{-1} = \begin{pmatrix}2-2^n&-2+2^{n+1}\\1-2^n&-1+2^{n+1}\end{pmatrix}\) (1 pt). Pour \(n = 1\), on retrouve \(K\).

2 Cayley-Hamilton / 4 pts

a) La matrice \(L\) est compagnon de \(X^3 - 2X^2 + X - 2\) : on développe \(\det(XI - L)\) selon la première ligne : \(X\,(X^2 - 2X + 1) - 2\), d’où \(\chi_L = X^3 - 2X^2 + X - 2 = (X-2)(X^2+1)\) (1 pt). Dans \(\mathbb{C}\) : \((X-2)(X-i)(X+i)\) (0,5 pt).

b) Cayley-Hamilton : \(L^3 - 2L^2 + L - 2I = 0\), donc \(L(L^2 - 2L + I) = 2I\) et \(L^{-1} = \dfrac{1}{2}(L^2 - 2L + I)\) (1 pt). Avec \(L^2 = \begin{pmatrix}0&0&1\\2&-1&2\\4&0&3\end{pmatrix}\), on obtient \(L^{-1} = \dfrac{1}{2}\begin{pmatrix}1&-2&1\\2&0&0\\0&2&0\end{pmatrix}\) (1 pt).

c) Sur \(\mathbb{R}\), \(\chi_L\) n’est pas scindé : \(L\) n’est pas diagonalisable (0,25 pt). Sur \(\mathbb{C}\), trois racines distinctes : \(L\) est diagonalisable (0,25 pt).

3 Polynôme minimal et diagonalisabilité / 4 pts

a) Les deux sont triangulaires : \(\chi_S = (X-3)^2(X-1)\) et \(\chi_T = (X-1)^2(X-2)\) (1 pt).

b) Pour \(S\) : \(S - 3I = \begin{pmatrix}0&1&0\\0&0&0\\0&0&-2\end{pmatrix} \neq 0\) et \((S-3I)(S-I) = \begin{pmatrix}0&1&0\\0&0&0\\0&0&-2\end{pmatrix}\cdot\begin{pmatrix}2&1&0\\0&2&0\\0&0&0\end{pmatrix} = \begin{pmatrix}0&2&0\\0&0&0\\0&0&0\end{pmatrix} \neq 0\), alors que \((S-3I)^2(S-I) = 0\) ; donc \(\mu_S = (X-3)^2(X-1)\) (1 pt). Pour \(T\) : \((T-I)(T-2I) = \begin{pmatrix}0&1&0\\0&1&0\\0&0&0\end{pmatrix}\cdot\begin{pmatrix}-1&1&0\\0&0&0\\0&0&-1\end{pmatrix} = 0\), et ni \(T - I\) ni \(T - 2I\) n’est nul, donc \(\mu_T = (X-1)(X-2)\) (1 pt).

c) \(\mu_S\) a une racine double : \(S\) n’est pas diagonalisable (0,5 pt). \(\mu_T\) est scindé à racines simples : \(T\) est diagonalisable (0,5 pt).

4 Décomposition de Dunford / 4 pts

a) \(\chi_V = X^2 - 4X + 4 = (X-2)^2\) (0,5 pt). Si \(V\) était diagonalisable, on aurait \(V = 2I\), ce qui est faux (1 pt).

b) \(D = 2I\) et \(N = V - 2I = \begin{pmatrix}1&1\\-1&-1\end{pmatrix}\). On a \(N^2 = \begin{pmatrix}1-1&1-1\\-1+1&-1+1\end{pmatrix} = 0\) et \(DN = ND\) (1 pt). C’est la décomposition de Dunford (0,5 pt).

c) \(V^k = 2^kI + k\,2^{k-1}N\) (0,5 pt). Pour \(k = 4\) : \(V^4 = 16I + 32N = \begin{pmatrix}48&32\\-32&-16\end{pmatrix}\) (0,5 pt).

5 Jordan / 4 pts

a) La seule valeur propre est \(3\) et \(\dim E = 4\), donc \(\chi_W = (X-3)^4\) (0,5 pt). Blocs de taille au moins \(k\) : \(2\), \(3-2 = 1\), \(4-3 = 1\), soit un bloc de taille \(3\) et un de taille \(1\) (1,5 pt).

b) \(J = \begin{pmatrix}3&1&0&0\\0&3&1&0\\0&0&3&0\\0&0&0&3\end{pmatrix}\) (0,5 pt), et \(\mu_W = (X-3)^3\) (0,5 pt).

c) \(\mu_W\) a une racine triple : \(W\) n’est pas diagonalisable (0,5 pt). Dans une base de Jordan, \(D = 3I_4\) et \(N = J - 3I_4\) (nilpotent d’indice \(3\), \(N^3 = 0\)) (0,5 pt).
