1 Valeurs propres et vecteurs propres / 4 pts

  1. \(\operatorname{tr}(Q) = 8\) et \(\det(Q) = 7 + 8 = 15\), donc \(\chi_Q(x) = x^2 - 8x + 15 = (x-3)(x-5)\) (2 pts).
  2. Pour \(3\) : \(Q - 3I = \begin{pmatrix}4&-2\\4&-2\end{pmatrix}\), d’où \(2x = y\) et \(E_3 = \mathrm{Vect}\big((1,2)\big)\) (1 pt). Pour \(5\) : \(Q - 5I = \begin{pmatrix}2&-2\\4&-4\end{pmatrix}\), d’où \(x = y\) et \(E_5 = \mathrm{Vect}\big((1,1)\big)\) (1 pt).

2 Diagonalisation et puissances / 5 pts

  1. Deux valeurs propres distinctes pour une matrice d’ordre \(2\) : \(Q\) est diagonalisable. Avec \(P = \begin{pmatrix}1&1\\2&1\end{pmatrix}\) et \(D = \mathrm{diag}(3,5)\), on a \(Q = PDP^{-1}\) (2 pts).
  2. \(\det P = 1 - 2 = -1\), donc \(P^{-1} = \begin{pmatrix}-1&1\\2&-1\end{pmatrix}\) (1 pt).
  3. \(PD^n = \begin{pmatrix}3^n&5^n\\2\cdot 3^n&5^n\end{pmatrix}\), puis \(Q^n = PD^nP^{-1} = \begin{pmatrix}-3^n + 2\cdot 5^n&3^n - 5^n\\-2\cdot 3^n + 2\cdot 5^n&2\cdot 3^n - 5^n\end{pmatrix}\) (1 pt). Pour \(n = 1\) : \(\begin{pmatrix}7&-2\\4&1\end{pmatrix} = Q\) (1 pt).

3 Une matrice qui ne se diagonalise pas / 3 pts

En développant selon la deuxième ligne, \(\chi_H(x) = (x-2)\big((x-2)(x-5)\big) = (x-2)^2(x-5)\) (1 pt).

\(H - 2I = \begin{pmatrix}0&1&0\\0&0&0\\1&0&3\end{pmatrix}\) est de rang \(2\), donc \(\dim E_2 = 1 < 2 = m_2\) : \(H\) n’est pas diagonalisable (1 pt).

\((H - 2I)^2 = \begin{pmatrix}0&0&0\\0&0&0\\3&1&9\end{pmatrix}\) et \((H - 2I)^2(H - 5I) = \begin{pmatrix}0&0&0\\0&0&0\\0&0&0\end{pmatrix}\), ce qui est la matrice nulle (1 pt).

4 Cayley-Hamilton et inverse / 3 pts

\(\operatorname{tr}(W) = 6\), \(\det(W) = 5\), donc \(\chi_W(x) = x^2 - 6x + 5\) (1 pt) et \(W^2 - 6W + 5I = 0\) (1 pt). Alors \(W(6I - W) = 5I\) et \(W^{-1} = \tfrac{1}{5}(6I - W) = \tfrac{1}{5}\begin{pmatrix}4&-3\\-1&2\end{pmatrix}\) (1 pt).

5 Suite récurrente / 5 pts

  1. Avec \(X_n = (u_n, u_{n+1})^T\), \(X_{n+1} = \begin{pmatrix}0&1\\-4&5\end{pmatrix}X_n\), et \(\chi(x) = x^2 - 5x + 4 = (x-1)(x-4)\) (2 pts).
  2. Deux valeurs propres distinctes \(1\) et \(4\) : la matrice est diagonalisable (1 pt).
  3. \(u_n = \alpha + \beta 4^n\) avec \(\alpha + \beta = 3\) et \(\alpha + 4\beta = 6\), d’où \(\beta = 1\), \(\alpha = 2\) et \(u_n = 2 + 4^n\) (1 pt). Alors \(u_5 = 2 + 1024 = 1026\) (1 pt).
