Test solutions with the detailed point scale. Add up your points and spot what to review.

Suggested time: 45 minutes. Out of 20 points. Calculator allowed only when the problem says so.

1 Compare the groups / 4 pts

  1. Two kites have no partner, so the kites have more. (1 pt)
  2. There are 2 more kites than blocks. (1 pt)
  3. \( 7 \gt 5 \) or \( 5 \lt 7 \) (2 pts: 1 pt for the correct numbers, 1 pt for the correct symbol).

2 Symbols / 4 pts

  1. \( 3 \lt 8 \) (1 pt)
  2. \( 10 \gt 6 \) (1 pt)
  3. \( 7 = 7 \) (1 pt)
  4. \( 1 \lt 5 \) (1 pt)

3 Put in order / 3 pts

  1. The order is 2, 5, 7, 9 (2 pts: 1 pt if one number is misplaced).
  2. The greatest number is 9. (1 pt)

4 True or false / 3 pts

  1. False: 6 is after 4, so \( 6 \gt 4 \). (1 pt)
  2. True: 8 is after 5. (1 pt)
  3. False: 9 comes before 10, so \( 9 \lt 10 \). (1 pt)

5 Shell collection / 3 pts

  1. 9 is the greatest number: Omar. (1 pt)
  2. Pia also has 6: Pia. (1 pt)
  3. From 6 to 9 we count 7, 8, 9, so Nina has 3 fewer shells. (1 pt)

6 Mystery number / 3 pts

Numbers greater than 3 and less than 6 are 4 and 5. (1 pt) The clue says it is not 5, so only 4 is left. (1 pt)

My number is 4, because \( 3 \lt 4 \lt 6 \). (1 pt)
