  2. \(3.47 + 12.8 + 0.05\)
  3. \(50 - 23.46\)
  4. \(8.2 - 3.77\)

3 Find the error / 3 pts

Tara wrote \(5.4 + 2.38 = 2.92\). (a) Explain her mistake. (b) Find the correct sum. (c) Show how an estimate reveals the error.

4 Missing numbers / 3 pts

(a) Find the missing number in \(9.35 + \_\_ = 12.1\). (b) Find the missing number in \(\_\_ - 6.48 = 3.5\). (c) Which is greater: \(4.6 + 3.75\) or \(9.1 - 0.8\)?
